I agree completely. My favorite show ever -- I've probably seen every episode 100 times and never get tired of them. Be seeing you.

I just finished the series last night. It absolutly got my full attention. It's in my top 25 of favorite shows, mostly due to Patricks Character #6.The arc of the show is a tad odd; Starting with a James Bond/Outer limits vibe to full blown Willy Wonka on LSD finish.
Without doubt,a lot of shows have borrowed from "The Prisoner" .I dare any "Lost" viewers to not see the paralel. Why the remake and why Jim Cavezel(?)?

One reason the arc of the show may be odd is because some of the episodes were not shown in the order McGoohan had originally intended.

McGoohan actually wanted the series to have only 7 episodes -- the network wanted 26, and they compromised at 17. I have a book somewhere which reveals which are the 7 "real" episodes.

Best show ever, in my opinion. Bruce Greenwood's "Nowhere Man" of a few years back was heavily influenced by "The Prisoner."

Patrick McGoohan and The Beatles worked on a film script together. Sadly,it was never produced. The combination of all that talent could have produced something amazing. We'll never know. be seeing you

Why do they try and remake everything. The prisoner was good. Best ever? Don't think so. It is because of the few shows. Sorta like Dark Shadows. Has a cult following because of that......smokin

'Rocky Horror' is far from a perfect film,it's actually God awful. On the other hand,'The Prisoner' is a masterpiece. Somethings find cult followings because of how bad they are, some because of how good. be seeing you
