I hold this clay
Lovingly in my hands
That I may mold it into another form.

Pinching, squeezing,
Chiseling you into what I seek.

A form of creation
Your state of blankness
Exhibits growing beauty to my eyes.

I constantly knead and re-knead you
Into any shape I momentarily desire.

Energy transfer miraculously happens.
You become you.
Magically infused with heart, mind, and soul.

I walk away from my creation.
Now is the time of your choices,
You now become the creator of you.

What will you project?

This is one of those writes that takes on several meanings for me.

Initially, it was written with artman48 in mind, but I used clay instead of paint, his modality de'creativity. Then I started thinking about some Native creation stories with the creator making man from clay, so it could apply spiritually or it could apply to raising children or obviously to this write. Plus, I got to play with the noun and verb, project.....

Kace, unless there's a padded cell, uh-uh, I don't wanna play, lol.

Yes I read this on multiple levels too including one you didn't mention ... like your own creative work ... at one point I had Sponge Bob Square Pants on my mind and that 'oh so fun' chocolate modeling clay bigsmile

I still wonder though ... if we do the creating or if the creating is done through us ...

I am not always sure where a painting comes from ... I just figure they already exists somewhere and need a place to be birthed ... sometimes they choose me ... and that is cool!

Ahhhh yes - I like those writes that I'm just the mechanical means of manifestation. Call it channeling, call it being a conduit, a messenger, whatever - I find those aspects help make life awesome and wayyyy cool, proving I'm just a lil itty bitty pebble in a big ol symbiotic pond.

Oh and art, if it weren't for Marc, that modeling clay would have looked like giant turkey legs instead of sponge bob shoes. Thankfully, he has the persistence to see what's in my mind.
