Looks like my new b/f(Henry) is going to sign up to go over to Iraq for a year tour. I respect that he wants to do this an told him I will be waiting for when he returns. Just kinda sucks, he just walked back into my life. Not to sure when he will leave.

How hard was it for you to see a loved one go over seas?

It won't be easy...but you will be fine. I wish him safety...and you peace of mind...and you both happiness when he returns. When I left, I remember thinking in many ways it was tougher on those who were home worrying about my every moment away. Helps if you can find others who are going through the same feeling for support...Good luck!flowerforyou

I was married on 4/19/69---15 days later I was in vietnam--saw her for 5 days on R and R---We made it but it wasn't Fun. If you know he's a good man, stick with him. It's important.

Same as you, Mike heads over after Thanksgiving. We'll survive, and having internet and all that will help trememndously. It's just figuring out time zones (10 hours) and working things out.

Hugs of support

Loving someone that is in the military takes hard work and effort. There is always the possibility of the worst happening... sad, but true. But, if you truly , TRULY, love them.. it's all the more worth it. Take pride in your man, know what it is that he is doing.

But, if you have ANY doubt in your mind at all, that you could possibly be unfaithful, break it off now. Do not hurt him by being unfaithful while he is out fighting for us all. I've seen and heard too much of this happening.
