either way

kinda depends on the people

some people have to have that before God commitment thing and then some people just have to have each other

like every one keeps asking Gene Simmons when is he gonna marry Shannon

or Gerogia O'Keefe and her husband. fully married but she fell in love with New Mexico and couldn't leave it, but he lived in New York so they just periodically met and spent time together and then went back their homes

Both my sister and cousin have this arrangment, their husbands could only find work out of state ater the big mess of '08. Seems to really work or them and after marriage...I think that would fit for me.
Maybe live across the street? I love you:heart: but go away now...huh

I think it is at some point! I have Girls and I wouldn't want them to shack up, so I don't. But then again i don't judge others for it. Just not for me!

I'm sure this sentiment could change but that is what I would be perfectly happy doing.....just being together.

I think that if it works without being married then thats great. Im not totally opposed to living with someone and not being married.

Hmmmmmmm. So in theory, I need a west coast chick to be in love with. See her like for two weeks at a time evry three months, then go home. Ahhhhhhhhhh. This could be the new thing. laugh

Commitment is what matters. If you don't have that all the lawyers and priests in the world aren't going to help ya.

I think it becomes necessary if it's important to either individual. If it's not important to one, but highly important to the other, then dismissing the significance it holds to the other would be disrespectful of their beliefs...not a good way to start a life together.

I agree, I had a friend who wanted to get married and her bf didn't. She's convinced she can "change his mind" but I know its a recipe for disaster. If both parties agree on not getting married, it's fine, but otherwise, it's a sore spot.

If it was me I prefer to stay together without getting married anywhoo it's just a piece of paper. I think 2 people can be happy without marriage.
