For me, it's not even so much about being set in my ways. I have a handful of absolute "musts," but I'm basically flexible on everything else.

The problem is that my "musts" tend to run counter to the inertial societal-expectation "musts" that most people seem bound and determined to live by. It's a conflict; but for me to try to live their way would be a greater conflict, and I won't do it.



If that's true, it's a very sad situation. It just seems that many people would rather be told WHAT to think, WHAT to do, and HOW to live.

I have no problem being single, and have been told that's not normal. Like I would ever want to be normal.

I enjoy MY company, and will not deal with a lot of drama and bullcrap.

I would rather stay single. So all in all, life's good!

There is that. When I do feel alone, all I have to do is think back to what it was like being married, or being involved with any of my other exes.

Being alone doesn't seem so bad then. Being WITH someone and feeling totally alone is worse.
