I swore blind, growing up, I would NEVER be like you....
I swore blind I would NEVER say the things you did.... I find myself buying my babies the same carton of easter eggs you used to buy them, just to keep your memory alive in them. At xmas they always have the same style stocking full of treats, just to keep your memory alive in them. I may not say the things you did, I may not parent the way you did... but Mother....you rocked at being a granma, and for that I adore you. Thanks ma... |

it's interesting how sometimes experiencing a style of parenting that doesn't 'fit' you....shows you how you WILL parent...
there's always a balance... Mum's been gone now 8 years....and still on this morning that easter sunday thing...there she is on the end of my kid's beds in the form of an egg carton of easter eggs.... fascinating stuff.. |

I didn't have grandparents for very long and my boys don't. Interesting indeed how some things are passed on..

Awesome .............not having a mother to do all those little things in order to pass them on. I have made sure that with my kids I did the Easter baskets, Valentine cards and gifts as well as the Christmas Stockings each year. In hopes my kids when I'm no longer around will carry that tradition along to their kids as well....... and it will bring a smile to their face as they sit back and remember...
Such Beautiful words brings back so many memories I only hope my kids will carry on within the future..... |

... I love and miss my Mother soooooooooo much ...
... She remains the MOST beautiful soul I've yet to ever encounter ... She packed in sooooo much deep love, warmth, tenderness, thought, touch, integrity, sensitivity, kindness, creativity, compassion, great values and moral compass for only being in my life 11 years ... ... It 'feels' like an eternity and I vividly remember every single and treasured second ... every moment, an INFINITE gift most supernatural! ... My Mom was a true angel on Earth ... ... |
