Where do you get you favorite recipes from? I have found Cooks.com to be an excellent source for just about anything you could want. I wish I had more of my grandmas recipes though. Man that woman could cook.

Depends on what kind of recipes you are looking for. But if you are looking online I would imagine there are millions of recipes for you to look at. Maybe you should even try googling "grandmas recipes", you would be amazed at the results

I pick up the little cookbooks that you find by the check out line at the grocery store. I've found several really good recipes that way.

I also buy recipe books at garage sales.

I've gotten a couple from Food Network.

Some I have just made up on my own. I love messing around in the kitchen seeing what I can come up with.

I think any source is a good source. I collect cookbooks so I use them as a starting point. I rarely follow them exactly, but use them for ideas and try to make the recipes better. Today I put a lot of fresh jalapenos on a Philly Steak Sandwich to "jazz" it up. It worked pretty well.

Cooks.com is OK for some things but the lack of editing causes "false" recipes to show up. This same problem occurs in most of the online recipe sites. If you find twenty recipes for the "Best Apple Pie" you may find that five are quite good and five use inappropriate apples with the rest being "not bad". When you need a recipe quick for something basic, they are good sources. When you want to make the best dish you possibly can, they are not the best source.

Friends, great chefs, and prize winning recipes will give better results. If you use the internet to find recipes try adding "prize winning" to the name and compare ingredients to other recipes. Good ingredients make better food!
