I hate being single..I get bored easily and when I am bored I do things that I know I shouldn't do..like eat when I am not hungry..lol..Ok single people..what do you guys do to distract yourselves..I can't be the only one with a bad habit..lol.

I love having my Queen size comfy bed all to myself with noone snoring next to me or elbowing me in the eye at 2 AM.
 As far as keeping busy, my kids have lots of activities I go watch, my daughter is in a play tomorrow night, they both play multiple Sports, I mingle, I read, I cook. I get together with friends for dinner. Anything that will make you happy and keep you busy. I've been single a long time, and I'm actually beginning to really like it, a little too much I think.

As far as keeping busy, my kids have lots of activities I go watch, my daughter is in a play tomorrow night, they both play multiple Sports, I mingle, I read, I cook. I get together with friends for dinner. Anything that will make you happy and keep you busy. I've been single a long time, and I'm actually beginning to really like it, a little too much I think. I don't have kids..lol..I don't have anything but a tv and a computer..but now the comp makes me angry because thats where I met my ex at..lol..I keep hearing how people can have great successful relationships that started online but I'll be damned if I can have one..lol..everything I do crashes and burns..lol..Oh well..Its a good thing that I love myself..looks like I am gonna be spending alot of time with me..lol! |

I used to hate being single too. Then I decided to take the time and just work on me.I changed my diet,lost 30 pds so far and am working on 20 more.I cut my hair and amped up the color and find myself very happy now just being me.The best part of it all is that I did it for myself.I have always spent so much time trying to make everyone else happy that I forgot about me. It is probably the greatest gift I could give myself.If I meet someone now that would be great, but I know I will be fine if I don't.

That is excellent, and I am so proud of you, Nikita! I myself also lost 13 pounds; would like to lose about 10 more. Growing out my hair. I do things for myself that make me feel good. It's easy to get wrapped up in other people/kids, etc.... Good advice you have offered.

It's always great when you can focus on yourself instead of trying to please everyone else. It can become overwhelming trying to be what everyone else thinks you should be!! Be yourself & be happy!!

Well, the fact that you love yourself is a great start! Also, if you had one failed marriage/relationship from an online site, don't be scared to try it again. I met my husband on a phone dating line. I spent wonderful years with him. But I also met some real bad dudes. Time with yourself is not a bad thing. Maybe you could find some groups of people, or a singles group to get involved in. You will find happiness. It's out there.

Hummmmmmmmmmm being bored is not my problem due to even though my kids are grown they are still around quiet a bit. Plus I have a granddaughter and when all else fails I have my dog. As well as several friends that I talk to on here as well as the phone... Then if that is not enough well I have a big yard to work in and lots of projects around the house I could do yeah I said could but seems the time goes by and they don't all get done... lol
Sure it would be nice to have someone to do those kind of things with that two people share together...... maybe some day that will happen too until then..........I find stuff around the house to do... |

I love it because I don't hear "Can we watch something other than Sportscenter?", or "Please turn that damn PS3 off!!!!".
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Now my ears can rest.

One other thing I do is spend time with an amazing horse I am lucky to have.I learned how to ride only last year after loving horses my entire life.It is never too late to learn or do something that u always dreamed of. I never imagined even when I was starting to ride that I would own him-so when the opportunity fell in my lap I grabbed it.I have to do alot of barn work to afford him but it is worth it to me.

One other thing I do is spend time with an amazing horse I am lucky to have.I learned how to ride only last year after loving horses my entire life.It is never too late to learn or do something that u always dreamed of. I never imagined even when I was starting to ride that I would own him-so when the opportunity fell in my lap I grabbed it.I have to do alot of barn work to afford him but it is worth it to me. Way cool! I've gotta visit you sometime. You aren't that far away. I love horses. I have some horse riding experience, but I always get the horse that stops and pees every five minutes!!!

Being single is a whole lot better than being hooked up with the wrong one. It's a hell of a lot easer to get rid of a pet hamster that bites than a wife that makes your life miserable.

I never imagined even when I was starting to ride that I would own him-so when the opportunity fell in my lap I grabbed it.I have to do alot of barn work to afford him but it is worth it to me.
