I used to at family weddings. My aunts' would always ask when it will be my turn? So at the last funeral I was at, I went to my aunt..... when is it going to be your turn?

It's nice to look to the future and it's possibilities, but
everyone should enjoy the time that they have with that person
and let their life play out as it's supposed to in it's own time
and way.

My older daughter's boyfriend didn't either until last year when
I threw him one...he cried. He has gradually become like one of us
and he always says that he feels closer to us than his own family.

are there any little ones in your extended family that your parents etc can spoil? seems like that's what they are waiting for now that you are all grown up

I've never wanted kids. The one and only time my Mom asked me about kids, I said, "You want grandkids so badly YOU have them!"

She never bothered me again.

I it find objectionable when people that think procreation is the only station in life and push their beliefs on others. Just because it’s a good idea for them doesn’t mean the whole world wants to breed too. whoa

Tell them to mind their own business.

BTW, you are right on target about finding the right girl first. If a person can't even manage a life-long partnership than they certainly can't manage a commitment in having kids with an ovary or sperm donor. winking

No, they've given up. laugh laugh Actually, they never did--they always figured when it was right, it would happen. I'm lucky that way happy

I read over your profile. I am a graduate student and plan on going on to get my PhD. So take it from a single mother that is doing this, wait until you are firmly into your doctoral program before even thinking about starting a family.

Don't let them pressure you! Just keep reminding them that you are focused on your education (and future career) and when the right person comes along, then they will get grandbabies, until then tough luck!

Keep doing what you are doing! Best wishes to you!
