I think it is all about "intent." New friends are fine. However, I would not pursue anything more until the divorce is final.

I've dated a few guys who weren't completely divorced yet and it put a lot of strain on ME. It wasn't a matter of being worried they would go back to their ex, but someone who is in the process of divorce has a lot on their plate. It's emotionally consuming and trying to be there for your guy while hes still woman hating because of his ex is somewhat counter productive.
Also if there are kids involved it brings a whole new level of complications for anyone you date. I honestly wouldn't recommend anything more than friendships right now. Be careful because your own emotions will deceive you at a time like this. A woman who is supportive of you during this time can quickly turn into a love interest even if that is not your intent. |

everyones got some good points. as for the woman hating thing that's a big no. i don't hate women. not even my ex oddly enough. it's a level of maturity i maintain in that aspect i find.
