Exactly. And I'm conversant with this because I catch so much flak for being one who DOES lay it all out there, right up front, about what I'm looking for and what I'm NOT looking for.

A lot of people don't like that, and that's OK. Because I figure it like this: what can they really do about it, anyway? Are they going to hunt me down and bump me off because my preferences exclude them? I doubt it (my ex-wife excluded, of course -- there's no telling what she might do).

Anyway, people write prfiles that say what they think they're SUPPOSED to say. I mean, if you're really THAT concerned with what a few hundred random strangers, who are billions of miles away, think of you, then, fine, put up a bland and vapid profile talking about how much you want to meet someone smart and caring and funny and kind. It's the exact same profile everyone else has, and you can save a lot of people a lot of time that way, because reading that drivel ONCE is more than enough.



And it's doing a damn fine job of it, too.

Because people let it.
