Oh Oh I know this one, I live in Orange County aka High Maintenance capital of the freakin universe.

Aside from the things they expect that cost money these chicks require an ungodly amount of attention and not just from their SO. They spend hours getting ready and make sure their fake boobies are out for everyone to see, then act disgusted when every single guy looks at them. They never expect to have to lift a finger for everything because they have probably had everything taken care of by mommy and daddy their whole lives.

LMAO .. ya I love the 'act disgusted' part .. it's like WTH .. you PUT them out there to be stared at so don't be gettin your panties in a bunch when the moronic guys bite. Geesh whoa whoa whoa

unfortunately, this mentality is contagious.
too many people are watching stupid reality
tv shows that show how these "princesses"
live and more and more girls think they
should be treated that way. ugh!

Do what i do.. Smack them back into reality..
If you want to live the life that the TV is
portraying then i suggest you get the remote
that John Ritter had in 'Stay Tuned'..
This do?

Explain please ..

I don't know, I never really thought of people needing maintenance. I don't know if it's just the word or what, but somethinng just doesn't sound right to about "maintaining someone (or yourself)".

Some people are a bit more demanding, emotionally, financially, etc. I don't know if it would necessarily be considered maintenance though.

I don't know, when I think of maintenance I tend to think of objects like cars, homes, tools, etc.

i think of it strictly as appearance, it means it will take alot to MAINTAIN their current appearance and lifestyle,,, usually a cost they expect someone else to cover

Everything about me is low maintenance. As long as I have a full stomach and a warm bed to sleep in, I'm good.

I dont see anything wrong with it so long as the person doesnt expect anyone else to maintain it FOR THEM. I am a get up and go kind of gal, not alot of time in the bathroom besides hygienic reasons, maybe some mascara and lipstick and brush my hair.

I am strictly skirts and dresses.

I DONT do pants or jeans,,but thats probably about the most 'high maintenance' thing about me. Since I purchase my own clothes, it should not be an issue.

i used to always think 'lots of makeup, fake nails, always painted, always dressed up, matching clothes, pouffy hair, etc' when i thought of high maintenance.

then i read a woman write that she was high maintenance in terms of emotional input into the relationship and i saw a different angle of the term.

No matter how good she looks, some other guy is sick and tired of putting up with her crap. ~Author Unknown

Ya, see this is what I see as High Maintenance. It's an emotional status.

Which is exactly why I started this thread. Because if it means that many different things, then when a man calls a woman that .. well, God KNOWS what he means whoa

To me it means someone who thrives on drama. The person who goes out of their way to create it where none exists. I know a few like that. Don't understand why anybody would be interested in that.

High maintenance can refer to friends as well. People that just suck the life out of you. Bye bye.
