And, if they do, can they make it work?

I tried dating someone who was more like me....eccentric, some interesting belief systems and very introspective, but I couldn't stand him. laugh

I think my type is the old fashioned, country, good ol' boy who is very down to earth and spends most of him time hunting and fishing or camping or that kind of stuff. frustrated

I have to have opposites. All the ladies have some persona and private moral standards as opposed to me pitchfork
as for can/will it succeed? not yetsad

I think opposites attract when it comes to lust. Something about throwing it to some uptight barbie bytch sounds like a good time in the sack. But other than that I couldnt stand to be around here.

I need a pretty tough woman by my side. Thick skin, not easily offended, and as wide open as me.

I don't think my "opposite" would share many of my core values with me....to far the other way and I just don't know what we would talk about.

I really don't think I can deal with an "opposite" for any length of time without getting very very bored.

I would have to be with someone who's on my level, intellectually and creatively. And who shares at least some of my values.

Excellent points....especially about the core values being the same.

Of course opposites attract, if they didn't you'd never be able to use a pair of magnets together. It's the same in people, you need both poles to be out on the far end, that way the relationship is balanced.

I guess said another way, like minds think alike but prefer to live seperately.

maybe cuz u complement each other & it gives u each some space.

I am kinda the same - I think of those things as being manly ^ sexy but I have little desire to sleep outdoors on the ground, shoot a gun, or bait a hook

Also excellent points.

I'm working on my profile and I finally put in information about me. Although it needs some work. Not sure if I came across the right way.

But, I'm having a very hard time expressing what I'm looking for. ohwell

I think opposites can attract - some is lust - some plain curiosity - only time can tell if the instance (s) will last & what that would takeflowerforyou

I know what u mean. My profile is a little vague there too.

I am really pretty open to trying out compatibility. The attraction factor is big for me - so I usually start there. If the attraction is there I'm open to trying....so that's a pretty undefined picture...so I like to meet -not looking for penpal - that much I knowlaugh

So, you are not limiting yourself. Which is good. On the other hand, I've recently come up with a few deal breakers. The first being someone who smokes. No smokers.

So, I got that figured out. laugh

I'm not limiting myself..I'm open to all possibilities. I just put my views on important issues and it weeds them out..
Certain 'types' are not going to contact me after reading my bio...

My experience with dealbreakers is that they can allow a platform to evolve. But the guys reading the profile will think they are carved in cement...so I don't usually list them

No smokers was one of mine too - but one of my fondest remembered exes was a smoker ...my brain turns to mush when I try to set limits on the unknownfrustrated

I'm a good cook, too!

She is probably good enough to bait the hook,
cast, and reel you in before you even know you
have gone fishing.
