I try to keep it in balance by 50/50 talking and listening. Any topic will do. Food is fairly universal. What we do for fun is also. Growing up, travel, odd movies, hobbies, ... usually not religion or politics.

Movies are always a great topic though, if there IS a lull in the conversation.

I dunno.. I love music so much, so I usually just talk about music. The best thing to talk about is things you kinda know you have in common already. If you don;t really know, music is always a good one to start off with. I have found to stay away from topics like Politics and Religion. Those conversatons usually end up in a disaster.. at least with me. I have some pretty strong convinctions on those two topics...lol I kinda gotta feel my way into those discussions...lol
