In short, a woman was lured to a supposed friends house where she was
ambushed by her "friend" and people she had given information to the
police about (upon request from the police), which led to the removal of
a child from the home.

This is a truly sad story in which people have to be afraid fo doing
their public / civil duty due to retaliation.

personally, those people that assaulted her should be branded as well.
Let them go through life in the shoes they placed on her feet.

One of the most difficult lessons a teenager or young adult has to
learn, is that telling the truth to save a life or protect one from
harm, is not ratting and that every 'secret' is only worth keeping, when
there is no harm is doing so.

Those who would harm a 'whistle blower' have never learned the sanctity
of life or maybe they are not people who care about anything but
themselves.

Here's to the whistle blowers, their courage and integrity saves lives
and reveals truth. drinker drinker

sometimes people need to be "ratted" on. In some cases the perks
outweigh the consequences. Yes you can be retaliated against for ANY
action you perform against anyother individual in which it makes them
mad at you. You just must ask yourself, what does this particular
situation call for? Is there anyone in danger? Are they a harm to
themselves or society?

First off she did nt "ratt" on anyone. The police went to her and asked
her questions. She naswered them as is her civic duty and
responsibility. because she answered them the police fuond out about
drugs being involved and the couple lost their child(ren).

If you thing that it is wrong for someone to perform their civic duty,
or for someone to try and prevent a major wrong like happened here, then
you need to just go off nad live by yourself. Cause I can telly ou that
I for one do not want you anywhere in my society, nor do most average
people in society, I am sure. So please either rethink your views or go
away, as this is a community not a frat house.

"Shouldn't have ratted"? Good Lord. She did the right thing, something
any decent person would have done. Thanks to her, that child is already
better off. These "people" who ambushed and branded her should be
punished to the fullest extent of the law. Even though I lean liberal, I
have no problem with an "eye for an eye" mentality here. Brand the
branders. Maybe put "idiot" across their cheek. Sadly, they'll probably
get hardly anything, and citizens will get more of an "I don't want to
get involved" attitude.

brabd them withidiot? no... Brand them with the word "wolf".
Especially the ladies so-called friend who had it set up in her house
and called her over in order to accomplish the ambush.
