I waited so long
through the summer sear
for cool and crisp nights
remembering
how sky's beckoning twinkle
would wink with the moon
reminding me of change's constant.

Now
fields blush
for the trees baring their limbs
stretching to reach
for coming impressions
brought on
by the north wind's return.

Though time has always been
on time
It seemed forever.

A blink in the morning
as the frost bids summer good bye
I breathe once more
slowly
satiated.

Still
in almost's suspended
moment
we are not quite
there.
