This leaves scars on my heart
frozen in time where words once were.
I had no idea you would go
so soon.
It’s crippling for ones left behind
remembering where you once were.
Ink barely dry on the paper.
I turn to nature to see you,
in the clouds.
And the stars.
On the moon.
Forever a tumbleweed.

(RIP Poppa. Ladywind )

Why so serious, batman?

Fun, engaging, true and peaceful, yes

"Perfect in every way" yet you say she is just using guys.
That would really skew perfect for me

And you can tune a piano but you can't tune a fish. Good luck!

My parents have been happily married for 60+ years. I would
love to get it right like they did. I would find it highly romantic
if my guy asked for their blessing. I would take that as respect
for their relationship and recognizing how important their
wisdom is to me. Just because times have changed doesn't
always mean for the better. This tradition, IMO, could use
a come back. Individual results may vary. :)

Is it possible! Yes! I know of three couples from the forums who are
now together, together and quite happy.

Is there a high probability? No. I know of way more than three couples
from the forums who are no longer together. I fall into this category and
do not wish to revisit it again.

I think the trick is 1) you have to plan to be together, together, in a relatively short
amount of time, and 2) your love for this person when you are finally together,
together, must outweigh the emotion of missing this person when you
weren't together, together. People tend to confuse how much they miss
the idea of being with someone to actually being with them and in love.

It is a crap shoot.

being happy trumps forever. If it also works out that way, it's a win win!

I would think it is fairly common, to do otherwise,
in many friendship situations, would be rather
stupid of us. one for instance, our friends who are
married. just because we have feelings or attractions
doesn't mean we act upon them in a way that
could be hurtful to us, them or others.
just sayin....

Must have a heart open to investment,
an old soul that enjoys exploration,
and a mind that seeks fulfillment,
and peace and love and all that jive. :)

What a ridiculous situation. I have no sympathy for the bunch,
sounds like they deserve each other. :/

addiction requires treatment, which many do not often seek
those that do seek are often confined to financial limitations,
which, generally speaking, don't begin to touch on the
rehabilitation that is necessary. i don't think addiction can
be treated simply by stopping because the addiction itself,
i.e alcoholic, is just the means by which they cope, the
cause is usually, much deeper.

You are willing to risk all that you had together

I believe this applies to the one that is unfaithful, not vice versa as you seem to indicate.

I didn't indicate either, it applies to both of you after the fact that one violated the relationship.

Sure you did. Besides one would not even have a reason if the infidelity didn't occur in the first place.
