It's been a long, dark, weary night
Waiting for the dawn Hoping for the sunrise of my heart The moon and stars taunt me tonight I faintly remember what day was like I fall asleep and wake She hasn't come I fall asleep and wake again That's when the doubt came creeping in In dreams I pass the time Sometimes I'd rather stay there For there we embrace the warmth and light I wish I had this lonely night I know, I hope Someday you'll rise again We'll make this day never end Lets make this our last sunset |

The nightmare of being with the wrong person is what has brought this darkness about. I too would rather be lonely than in that predicament. The end of my poem was about til death do us part.
