Wow...I have probably over 200 romance novels...i love to read! I guess it depends on what kind of romance novels you like...I have some by Zane but my favorite are the ones by Janet Chapment. The are all highlander novels and of course magic is always involved in most of her books. But they are the kind of stories you can get lost in. If you like romance as well as little more syfy action then Genoshowalter's Lords of the Underworld is an excellant series. Love it!! I have probably read the entire series four times :) Never read any spanish romances, maybe I'll give it a try. Good luck!happy

Oh romance novels! (Aka porn for women) bigsmile

The last series I read was a while back (about 3 years ago) but it was a historical romance set by Mary Jo Putney. I LOVED that series!   I should see if they are available on Kindle now.

Anyway, from the time I was about 15 I have read Harlequin and those "types" of quick read romance novels. Although, the last time I really read any was in the late 90's eary 2000's and so many of them were about a single pregnant woman who meets the hero and he takes care of her and her unborn baby. What the hell was up with that?

I read a great trilogy....well, okay, the first and the last book were great. The middle one, not so much. It was the Three Sisters Island Trilogy by Nora Roberts. Excellent.

I have a romance I purchased by our very own Julia Becca (can't remember her screen name, but she is here on Mingle) on my Kindle waiting for me. I'll let you all know what I think of that as soon as I get to it.

So, yeah...I kinda like romance novels.

Those sound good. I read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon which was a time travel romance. VERY GOOD. I would like to read the second book in that series.

Never heard of that one but I will def look into it! I love books by Nora Roberts, Karen Moning, and Monica Roberts. I would have to say a majority of my collection takes part in Scotland lol. I read a new series but its not a romance. Its more for teens but really good all the same. Its the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Claire. Its a great read if you like books about battles between angels, nephifilm, and downworlders (werewolves, vampires, etc). :)

Everyone is buzzing about "Fifty Shades of Grey" and feedback says it's not only very sexy, but has a great story and relationship between the characters. I haven't read it but probably will...it's good to know what everyone is talking about!

It was originally Twilight fan fiction.

Really? That kinda puts a damper on the potential read then...

I am very turned off by what I have heard so far. I read Story of O about 4 years ago and it really bothered me. It was a short book and it came so highly recommended, but I was horrified at the ending. I know Fifty Shades of Grey is supposed to be much more tame and "loving" but I don't care for the idea behind the book at all. Definitely not for me.

Though far from being a romance novel, I would say Stephen King's 11/22/63 is definitely romantic.

So you've read it?

I'm on book 2...pretty dang crazy in book 1 but it leaves you wanting to know the rest of the story. Go figure...I'm actually participating in a current pop-culture phenom!

I've read all three books and enjoyed the story quite a bit. I'd recommend them if you're into that kind of book.

Don't let it. I've never read or seen Twilight. I found out after I started reading that it started out that way and it honestly didn't make a difference in the story at all.

Edited to add: Sorry, I didn't see your post about how you're on book 2 already!

I think book 1 will put a lot of people off...and that's def not my scene (but it's pretty hot, regardless!) On the other hand, get over it...it's just people and there IS an underlying story (however schmarmy and unrealistic) that makes the romantic in us sigh.

I think all the guys should read it IF they can read past the sex and into the relationship part.

I think people should definitely read past book one. It's definitely a love story, even if it is unrealistic. Then again, it's a fictional book ;). I thought it was fun to read.
