Hello, everyone. My name is Dmitry (Dima), 21 y.o. I born and currently in one of European countries, but in future I am planning to relocate to US. Because of that I want to improve my English skill. Now, if I want to watch a movie, I try to find it on english. I found a great website where I can read all the news I am interested in on eglish too. The next I want is to find an english-talking friend, who would help me by talking with me in english. Gender, Age - it doesn't matter. I just want to communicate with someone. I didn't decide anything better, than to make a profile here xD If there is anyone, who wants to help or just feel lonely, you can just wrtie to me. And may be if you know some other sites, where I can find what I am looking for, give me a link please :)

I'll try and help. 2 or 3 people are referred to as y'all. More than 3 people are referred to as all y'all. Hope this helps.......

According to linguistic experts, English is the second most difficult languare in the world to learn, right behind Mandarin. As with any language, total immersion is the best and fastest way to learn any language. If you have any English speaking friends, try to spend time with them using English as the language with which you communicate. One thing that might help is to find a GOOD onlne translator, but most of the ones I've seen are substandard, and not worth investigaing. Good luck!

And may be if you know some other sites, where I can find what I am looking for, give me a link please :) not everyone in america uses the english language in the same way. saying "hello" can be said many different ways, so sentence structure, vocabulary, and meaning are going to differ. watching movies in english is ok, but dialect in movies is sometimes far from "proper" english. news articles are usually edited, so they should consist of english you would find in most areas of the U.S. here is your original post, edited by me. remember that in other areas of the U.S. your words could be translated differently Hello everyone. I suggest that you take a college course in English as a foreign language.

If so, we can help each other learn our respective native tongues. :) I know a lot of Russian, but need a lot more practice to memorize the vocabulary and become proficient.

The guy plans on moving to America and I assume working here so in order to better fit in he needs to learn conversational English. I taught English in Japan and trust me their is a difference. I would suggest that English speaking friends isn't specific enough. They should be American. You need to pick up the language aspects of the country you plan on living in. When living in Japan I could tell if students spent time living in England, Australia, Us, or Canada. The language differs with each. Grammar can be learned from a book. Conversation can't.
