Free of the tethers
That hinder its flight.

Ever fearful ... lost in the darkness
For what seems an eternity.
Eventually the sun will rise once more...
Bringing its energizing rays
Soothing the spirit...
Preparing for days of overcast skies
Building strength and courage
To face the darkest night.
