Do you know what it’s like
being left all alone…
your heart cries out
but there’s no love shown…
and you can’t figure out
why you’re on your own…
when there’s people everywhere
in the same time zone…
what will it take
for our minds to grasp the pain
of all those around us
who feel exactly the same…
is it pride that keeps us
from reaching out to say
I see you over there
hope you have a nice day…
it’s the little things that matter
even a twinkle in the eye
can spread love’s warmth
and dry a tear that’s cried…
it was in the Christmas season
a special Child was born
God sent Him with a reason
have we forgotten what for?
Jesus lived and gave His life
so we could all be free
whichever road we take
is up to you...and up to me
we can choose one paved with laughter
or…
we can choose one paved with strife
but in the heavenly ever after
which do you want for eternal life…
