I heard her
mumble something about
the clouds invading the room . . . she called it depressing
it didn’t help
that there was a bit of chill in air

She adjusted herself under the covers
pulling here
and tugging there
until she found that one spot
where the warmth of our bodies met
ok . . . maybe
just maybe it’s not as depressing

There was this beautiful silence
that filled the air
not total quiet
but this wonderfully peaceful morning sound
that demanded we stay wrapped
in each other’s arms
for as long as we possibly could
and to be honest . . . it wasn’t depressing at all
as a matter of fact
it was quite romantic
