Sure, it's possible. But love is a funny thing, and it might be years before you realize that you fell in love in that first moment.

Love/true love is a fallacy, but there is no greater feeling, them the feeling of being in lust. Just the opinion of a 2 time loser.

Why would you want to forget someone who was the love of your life? I wouldn't. But that doesn't mean that someone equally as wonderful cannot come alongside and mean the same to you.

Fiesty makes a good point. Powerful attraction (which isn't always lust) draws us towards a person, and sometimes there is a strong, unexplainable magnetism that makes us want to know more.

As for love?... that is a slow cooker which needs to be tended gently. I have my chefs hat in the bag just in case there is cooking on the horizon

Often people get attraction, lust and love (cosmic pull, sexual desire, infatuation) confused. I believe we may learn to love another person that we are attracted to as we get to know them, given time and respect.

I believe in attraction, when there is a certain kind of chemistry between two people, it is a comfortable feeling, it can happen quickly, but this powerful attraction (magnetism) isn't always about lust or love, we are drawn to that person and we enjoy spending time with them.

...but loving another person takes time.

I agree with this point Mowildflower. It is the chemistry that is the trigger for the feeling of love at first sight. Real love and caring comes with time. Being there through thick and thin is what establishes true love, giving of oneself to the other regardless of circumstance, being honest with each other etc. I also believe that just because the chemistry is there does not mean they are the right one for you. Feelings can be deceptive, but actions from either partner are very telling.

Love at first sight seems shallow to me. There is so much more to a person than just how they look. Maybe "interest at first sight" , but I believe I have to know more about a person before I say I love you.
This opinion reflects a person with a low EQ so they prefer to evaluate on a cognitive basis and this is fine too but may not in any way have anything to do with the degree of emotional involvement of the two people...

Yes, I believe in love at first sight .. it happened to me. However, it took 43 years for that to happen. Going by the law of averages, I may never again find that one rare pearl until my 86th birthday.
