Hi ,Nothing wrong with you coffee would be a nice way to meet someone. Its my oppinnion most wan t one night stands no strings attached, everywhere else i been which seems to be the trend,and not taking friends ,spending time for company, enjoying life or knowing someone or the worry of any relationship building blocks as we call {old school,meeting and building } seems people gotten away from to me..and want or want Long term security both men and women. I agree whats wrong with a coffee meet? just like whats wrong with having a friend to conversation with? Al most unheard of any more...If this helps..So its not all you some are hiding and others want pleasure and nothin more. As a guy iam having trouble and wonder samething whats wrong with dinner? coffee ? or even a soda? in my eyes as guy i find its beer club, take her home have a fling then good bye and women {younger ones in general} seem to have make it trending. I used to club every weekend,, If people were to be more friends relationships would last longer and realize conversations make building blocks,foundations make structure. i guess its to simple for a complicated world,,And warning to you iam also finding another trend in public ,me i think its sick. We've elected to get online in hopes of finding someone. This form of meeting people seems to be a good idea, in theory. But, a good many trolls, and other assorted ***holes who have nothing better to do than to torment people, has ruined it for the rest of us.

In digging into dating advise websites, almost all recommend getting on several sites. And I've been told that pay sites have more of a success rate.

Do not blame yourself. I keep this proverb handy as I search.

It's better to try, and fail, than to be successful at doing nothing.

I have been wondering the same thing about myself. Granted I only had a profile up a week and I expected it to be slow going with the single Mom of four but wow starting to feel rejected. Apparently if I can find someone who likes me a tenth of how much I like myself I'll be doing good.

OP:

1. As men and women age they don't trust each other so they do a lot of window shopping but never indicate any interest.

2. Women constantly complain of men propositioning them for sex so the average guy who is here to find a woman is hesitant to write.

3. When men first sign up they'll write women. I know I use to. One message a week. If no response in that time frame I would write another. Out of 50 messages (in one year) I received 3 responses and only one turned into a date. That date never went anywhere. Like most men who have been on a dating site for any time we, eventually, wait for the ladies to write: at least we know they're interested. Why. Tired of writers cramp.

Women don't respond so we stop writing.

Right, so if I said that all of the nice girls are slim, or white, or anything else that I might like, you think that would be fine and that nobody would find that offensive?

Ok, I confess. I didn't think there was a lot of room behind my computer, but after looking it's actually a fairly big table.
