What genre of game do you enjoy playing the most? Now I don't discriminate against any of them since I play them all, but I must say that horror tends to keep my attention more. What one do you like best? RPG? Fighting? Racing? survival horror? First person shooter? Action? Take your pick.

I like them all depending on my mood but I like rpg the most. I hate when games end, and at least in rpg when you lvl up a character you get to keep using them with your friends. The only problem is how times seems to speed up every time I play...

I love RPG games.. They were the very first kind of games I got into (NES style.) I do like old school final fantasy games and anything I've ever played on PS1. I'm currently playing Skyrim for the 10th time, and I've been trying top get my hands on this one game I played and beat a few years ago. Lost Odyssey I think it was. Amazing storyline on that!

My preferable genre has to be RTS(real time strategy) like age of empires and Starcraft.
Although I do enjoy the odd RPG too.

Nice topic. Here's my gamer history. My parents got us pong and my brother and I were hooked on video games ever since. We bought an intellivision system when everyone else had colecovision. Then we saved up money to get the first Nintendo, which had a little robot you had to operate to help get through a maze game. That one was hard. Then came super nes and Nintendo 64 the later had resident evil. It was the first time I actually jumped from fear while playing a game. It was also my first good introduction into shooter games. Then came the Xbox and Halo!!! I was instantly hooked on first person shooters. My current gaming system is a ps3. I have a variety of games, however, I don't play as much as I used to. I still have the Xbox and occasionally will throw in Halo for a little reminiscent fun.

Love RPGs- some of my favorites: Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Fallout 1,2,3, Neverwinter Nights, Gothic 1 & 2, the Might and Magic series, the Ultima series, Knights Of The Old Republic 1 & 2, most of the D&D PC games, the Lord Of The Rings RPGs from the early 90's, the Shining Force games on SEGA. The Bard's Tale games from the 80's. Also the Elder Scroll games, been a fan going all the way back to Daggerfall. Played through Morrowind and Oblivion several times, love Skyrim.

Simulation- Simcity series, The Movies, and space sim games like Privateer 2, the Wing Commander series, Freelancer.

FPS- Doom series, Duke Nuke'em, Unreal, the Half Life games.
