I like to be the dominant one. I got sick of dating controlling types. They kinda scared me. If anything, it only influenced me to be more careful with who I pick.

I personally have always been into the BDSM lifestyle. Dom. Never a switch have been or Submissive. Most who don't think outside the box think it's more of a weirdness that is perverted. Well, in some cases it may look like that, but that's OK. There is several different types or genres of the lifestyle that I will not do. I've done years of reading and research on the subject by talking to Mistresses and Doms. Facebook has a very informative page named a A Dominants Initiative as well as one for Subs. Along with their actual website which explains it more in detail. The trend with 50 shades is a misconception amongst the public. Dealing with this in the bedroom, being the sexual and sensual Dom, there are things people don't realize that there is safety involved, first aid kits, proper knot tying, posture and position, as well as the much needed trust and respect you must have for each other. There's a lot more to say, but I just thought I'd throw my two cents in for now;)

Being dominant isn't always s&m. It's about literally owning the other person. The dominant is ur daddy or master or mama or whatever u wanna call him/her. It's a skill for either role. Really? You may wanna read up on the subject before you come up with this kind of statements ... Personally wouldn't want a submissive man, whether we're talking in or out of bed. Submissive men turn me off big time, I'd walk all over them for a bit, then they'd start to bore me, irritate me and I'd get fed up with it.

I never really put that much thought into it. I do like a strong woman but I don't want one who thinks I'm a stepping stone. Strength to me is not dictated by roles such as dominant or submissive. I want a partner someone who is an equal. Pretty simple to me so thats probably why I haven't ever put much thought into it.
