I would never do what Markus did, but I don't feel sorry for any of his dumb girlfriends.

I do. Wrong is wrong. Hurting people and using them is wrong. If it happened to me, I would feel humiliated enough. Wouldnt want people sayin they dont feel sorry for me rubbing salt in the wound. Especially if there are kids to tend to.

yea, well... common sense has to kick in sometime...if it's to good to be true, then it is...

.. I know I am putting the gun . up to my head.. and somebody else will pull the trigger...lol..
. but seriously how naive do you have to be.. you meet someone on the Internet.. it's the Internet.. do I have to say anymore... it's like a romance novel you read it. put it down and walk away.... if the novelist of the romance novel.. sent you an email asking you for money... or that he wanted to marry you because you read his book... you would laugh your *** off at him... people... please do not lose your grip on reality... this medium.. is just to introduce you to each other... it does not mean throw all reasoning... and the laws of everyday thinking.. by that I mean reality... out the virtual window.. so to speak... you meet. online.. then you meet for coffee.. then if you like you date.. form a real . person to person face to face relationship... yes the power of words.. can be compelling attractive.. Luring.. but they're just words they're typing out... scripting editing... re working so it sounds perfect... common sense should still apply... I guess that's the key word common sense...lol..phD..

.. I could go back and edit that !!.fix my spelling mistakes, but then the point would be lost...lol.. or would it help to make my point..omg..

.. yes I read the link.. but after they meet in person.. is no longer a online dating problem.. its like . you meet your future . spouse at a bar.. the marriage goes sour... and you go back and blame the bartender who serverd. you drinks that night... are the owner of the bar... for letting you both meet there... my point was... you need to use common sense...

I dont know if you read the link, but he met them in person. He fathered various children in person. He was living with them in person. Had to be away on business in different countries (to actually be with other women but maybe had some business too).

i'm not sure what your point is here... women got scammed...i think there is another thread about the shallowness of women... this seems to fit nicely in that category... if he was an overweight, ugly troll, would this have happened?

.. he's just a sleazy guy.. who use the Internet.. to cast a large net... if I meet you in reality in public.. I can BS you just as well.. where I meet you has nothing to do with it... if you fall for someone's BS.. well again.. back to common sense... sweet talk is just sweet talk.. and BS. is BS...

.. this is just me making a statement again.. he's just another sleazy heartbreaker.. opportunist.. a Predator.. the bigger issue is the scammers. the ones that drain your bank account. they don't want to marry you.. have children with you.. they use financial gains. that's their sweet talk... that's the story they should have covered.. not that some poor lady.. fell for some sweet talk... so many bigger issues.. and that's what makes the 5th. Estate...omg... oh my coffee is too hot.. I want to sue Starbucks... how dare they give me hot coffee.. when I ordered a hot coffee.. quick 5th. Estate.. come help me..omg

Regardless if it is online or in person... There are those out there that do it to others all the time... No matter how they do it....it is not right.... It plays with someone's feelings...They fall for it for what ever reason... It is still not right....

I have seen it done more then once just being online. People should not promise things they have no intention of doing... This is not just for those that are online... I have seen it happen in person...

It is all fun and games and thinking others are just stupid till it happens to you...Then it is a different story...

I must say, it's amazing what some people will fall for online than they would in say a bar setting!

Indeed! And special people know they are special. If you need a stranger to tell you you're special and you throw yourself at them, you have issues.
