I'm thinking we all think the grass is always greener. Saw my best friend who is married for seven years. She's having problems and said my life is easier because I'm single. I told her many of us would rather be in her shoes. To think before giving up.

I'm soooo tickled about the barn swallows returning to build their nest under my front porch again this year. I've already started taking photos of the newest pair and the nest they're building for their offspring. Last year there were 4 eggs that hatched from that original pair as I documented their growth and final flight from the nest. And about a weekish ago 4 swallows dive bombed me as I exited the front door. They were singing so happy and loudly and coming straight at me all at once that I couldn't help but think maybe these were the four fledglings now adults coming to tell me hello. As the days went by I kept looking around the porch eaves to see if they were going to build here too. Needless to say I was quite pleased when a pair has indeed decided to stay and share space with me and Cilli and Hammer, and I look forward to documenting their progress too.
