Ah shlt, that stuff happens so random to me, I just call it Tuesday afternoon. ...sounds like a Moody Blues song.
I even once broke my **** I'm not kidding, I actually broke my ****
Yeah & I was down for five months.
whoa

Thats bad news, hope things are better that they think.
It always complicates things when the break is so close to another bone
for hardware purposes.
Very Best to ya both.waving

Thank you all!
She was doing a bit better yesterday, pain was a tad less, so she could do without the painkillers. I could tell straight away her brain was clearer.
Surgery will be done with local anesthetic, not sure if that's a handy choice as it will likely take an hour and a half, I think more like 2 hours. Her father in law (doctor himself) said she won't remember anything later on, so I'm guessing it's one of those anesthetics where you're semi-conscious.
Anyway, wait and see now. If possible I'm gonna talk to her Friday again.

Crystal those are good news so far.flowerforyou

I had a foot surgery before it was local anesthetic as well. Not bad at all, my problem was: they didn't gave me some medication before that and I was sick as a dog with trowing up like for 4 hours when i went home. But other than that everything went okay.

So I hope everything goes well for your daughter and still be praying for her. flowerforyou

Yes!! It all went really well! It turned out it was better than expected so the surgeon put the bone back in place (it was dislocated) and put two pins in. It was a clean break, so not half as bad as he had thought at first.
I just spoke to her, she's okay, does have pain, in the evening her hand got swollen, but that's to be expected. So now it's being careful and patient (can't be easy for my daughter, haha), taking her antibiotics, painkillers if need be.
I'm so glad it's all over!
Talked to her mother in-law on Skype, nice woman, first time ever we spoke, so that was nice as well!
All in all I'm happy!!
Thank you all for your support

Very nice to hear the surgery went well and she's on the road to recovery. One of the hardest things for a parent is having a child (even when they're adults) hurt and not being able to be there to hug them or even just hold their hand sad2 (been there done that). How fortunate that your daughter has good in-laws. They can't replace you, but that is a wonderful thing.

yes, indeed!
Now she has to learn to have some patience in life, as she's getting fed up with the splint and not being able to do things normally.
