The GOP's Latest Anti-Obamacare Talking Point Just Went Down in Flames

finance.yahoo.com/news/gops-latest-anti-obamacare-talking-213658327.html

The only thing politicians and insurance providers are worried about is how much money they can rake up into their already bulging coffers by forcing all Americans to take coverage with some level of health insurance so that when we do need to go to the doctors they too can pad their pockets by providing substandard services at exorbitant costs to consumers.

And there will be very little we can do to protect ourselves from this budding scam that big money has been implementing slowly over time by worming its way into our psyches and making us believe its in our best interest to toe their line.

Soon enough though average folks will realize just how much we're being taken advantage of and will stand up and shout, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

And I can't wait to see who digs us out from under the melee.

You don't get it. It's not about anyone "bailing us out", it's about our demise as a world power, by a president bent on the destruction of the western evil and its infidel people.

The state this America hating POTUS has put our country in in just 5 years of his lawless rule, even a Repulsicon senate and house (if they were an honest lot) couldn't repair without first allowing it to occur.... but the transformation would be to what.... and at what cost?

He has destroyed the very core of what our country stands for, divided our peoples, corporatized our existence to one of perpetual debt, and reversed the very nature of a govt serving its people to one of govt control.

The American people, groups, parties or ANYONE who argues his rule by policy or edict, is either a racist or a terrorist, and he has done his best to surround himself with Tzars, generals and media to embed his destructive path for America in the brainless, TV watching, liberal voter base.

Look around you! Do you see the America even your young age remembers out there somewhere?

NO Soul, the America I thought I was growing up in while being brainwashed to trust that if I was honest, worked hard and paid my dues that I would make it okay was a load of hogwash!

Because after I reached maturity I quickly learned that I wasn't going to be allowed to take care of myself, stand on my own two feet. Because it's a man's world.

But rather my place as a woman in the south, where the poorer and uneducated among us are basically just supposed to do what we're told and shut our mouths if we want to survive without feeling the sting of the lash.

The same lash that not too long ago was reserved for the backs of the slaves who got out of control. The slaves who needed to be punished and made an example of if they dared to speak of freedom and independence from their misery.

Not thrive, Soul, we simply survive.

I've never asked anyone for much of anything that I couldn't get for myself via hard work and sacrifice. And I think it sucks that its the wealthy crooks that are bleeding us dry who are the first ones to grab tax payer backing to cover their a$$es when they get caught with their hands in our hard earned cookie jars. Then cunningly point the finger at us, their victims, to make everybody believe their thievery tactics are our faults.

I personally don't see Obama as the only villain in our country's demise. But the big money backers that put him in office to appease the poorer among us after the Bush administration lied and screwed everybody over for years while soaking in and partying through the wealth they finagled out of the rest of us.

And its the same backers who kept him there for a second term because they couldn't afford to let our country's first white/black President go down in disgrace until they figure out how to at least make this f**king they're giving us look good, even when it hurts.

I don't think my eyes are the only ones that need opening.

And now, big money has finally initiated another way they can keep their behind the scenes games in play with even more of our hard earned money, or through our taxes, via alleged health insurance plans that really won't help anyone other than those they are designed to truly profit.

You wait and see... I've been in the trenches of this system for 30 years... and...

Our political system gives us two choices..... welfare or warfare.... with the banks collecting from both ends and the people stuck in the middle.

Govt and corporations thrive while the people are forced to pick up the tab for our own destruction.

"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."
- Alexis de Tocqueville

Our entire govt is a Punch and Judy show! The offerings of puppets for leadership are selected for us as "choice". Their political minions profit under the guise of "public servants" corrupting America to its core.

Money corrupts, but power corrupts absolutely!

Yep,them Good Old Days!laugh

Boy the way Glenn Miller Played
Songs that made the Hit Parade
Guys like us we had it made
Those were the days.

Didn't need no Welfare states
Everybody pulled his weight
gee our old LaSalle ran great
Those were the days

And you knew who you were then
Girls were girls and men were men
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again

People seemd to be content
$50 payed the rent
Freaks were in a circus tent
Those were the days

Take a little sunday spin
Tonight I'll watch the dogers win
Have yourself a dandy day that cost you under a fin

Hair was short and skirts were long
Kate Smith really sung the song
I don't know just what went wrong

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

This article is the epitome of propaganda "journalism".

He fails to mention that the three insurers he quotes cover less than 2 million of the enrolled.

His claim that virtually all of the deadline enrolled 1 million would have to not pay the premium to make the total 67%..

I guess in his world half of 1 million is virtually none..

Mr. LeFevre should have looked deeper. The government loves wallowing in it's own sickness, munchausen syndrome, so it can keep the pity party going on high speed as the blind and disabled continually feed into it.

Yahoo, what pure BS. Let's start out with someone that supports this socialist piece of crap act:

White House Lies, Damned Lies and Bogus Statistics

At issue is a House Republican survey that concluded only 67 percent of HealthCare.gov enrollees had paid their first premium, raising questions about the relevance of White House reports that more than 8 million Americans obtained health insurance through Obamacare. Krugman accurately called the GOP survey "rigged."

It asked insurers how many enrollees had paid their first premium; it ignored the fact that the first premium wasn't even due for the millions of people who signed up for insurance after March 15.

And the fact that the survey was so transparently rigged is a smoking gun, proving that the attacks on Obamacare aren't just bogus; they're deliberately bogus. The staffers who set up that survey knew enough about the numbers to skew them, which meant that they have to have known that Obamacare is actually doing O.K.

But the columnist undermines his argument by leaving out important context: His friends at the White House skew the truth, too.

Imagine that, the White House doesn't tell the truth. Who would've thought? Oh wait, there is more:

The GOP would have no excuse to release a biased survey had the White House bothered to conduct one of its own. Instead, the Obama administration has insisted beyond the limits of plausibility that it cannot obtain paid-policy numbers from insurance companies. They must think we're pretty stupid. You don't have to be a Nobel Prize winner to know that the White House can call insurance companies as easily as congressional staff. This lack of transparency (from what President Obama promised would be the most transparent administration in U.S. history) undercuts the administration's "8-million-enrolled" victory lap.

The White House keeps changing the enrollment goals, including the percentage of young Americans required to make the marketplace math work. They must think we're too blind to see a goalposts shift. You don't need to be a Princeton economist to know that the 8 milllion net figure, while laudable, is not as important as the demographic mix.

And let's not forget the ultimate fabrication, ""If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too."

I can hear the blowback already: "False Equivalence!" Well, no; I'm not arguing that GOP skewing is equal to the Democratic skewing. That would be stupid. But what makes even less sense is thinking that the Democratic Party will thrive in the years ahead by lying and spinning a bit less than the GOP. There is no pride in being the least-worst party.

So the real game is little liar, big liar. So I would guess that in the world of politics, the less liar isn't really lying? The sad part is with the idiocy of the masses, they are right. Sad really.

Like Krugman, I want the ACA to work. We need to solve our crisis of the uninsured and bend the cost curve without undermining the choice and innovation that make the U.S. health care system unique. While most Americans agree with those goals and object to the GOP demand to repeal Obamacare, they are not sold on the program so far. A new Washington Post-ABC poll shows that the Obamacare debate is not over:

By a two-to-one margin, more people think the quality of care they receive is getting worse rather than better under Obamacare (29 percent to 14 percent). A majority says the quality has stayed the same.

By a two-to-one margin, more people think the nation's health care system is getting worse, not better (44 percent to 24 percent). Less than a third say the quality of U.S. health care is about the same.

Nearly half of Americans say their personal health care costs are increasing under Obamacare (47 percent). Just 8 percent report decreases.

A strong majority say the overall costs of the U.S. health care system are increasing (58 percent). Just 11 percent see decreases.

Imagine, Krugman having a problem with something said by the GOP. Me, personally, I have a problem with anything Krugman says. With this a$$ being the brainchild of the Princeton Economics faculty, just what is a Princeton Economics degree really worth, a piece of our wonderful fiat currency? Not likely.

But other views on this Odumbocare plan of death are very kind either.

Questioning Obamacare statistics

Confirmed: Many of Obamacare's 'Eight Million Enrollments' are Duplicates

Manipulating Obamacare Stats: The Census Bureau's Suspect Timing

And these phony stats from both sides go, on and on and on and on ad infinitum. But that still does not resolve the trainwreck, but perhaps that is for the better. Please stand away from the tracks, this is going to be nasty.

Of course everything's substandard, what do you expect. You take what should be healthcare and subvert it into medicine that is based on greed and fraud and you interject the government into the middle and what do you expect?

But you haven't seen nothing yet. Just wait until the real rape and plunder gets rolling and the government steps in to bail out the insurance companies along with the banks. TARP will seem like breaking into a piggy bank.

And oh yes, people are going to die, in mass quantities. Agenda 21 calls for 80% reduction, yes 80%. But that couldn't happen here, could it? Well try Cliven Bundy and the other 50 some ranchers in Nevada and all those dams that have been destroyed and you tell me. Anybody see some high speed rail being paid for by the feds? Didn't Florida turn that trash down but California, Fresno to Bakersfield. Just who the heck wants to really be in either Fresno or Bakersfield much less go between them, but no problem the cost to the taxpayers by some estimates could go as high as $220 billion.

Is anybody really paying attention?

But sir I think even you fail to see the broad scope of this whole thing. It isn't just this country, it all of them. Yes the two biggest to fail will be the EU and then the US. The rest of the free and somewhat free world will follow in short order. China and Russia will rise quickly because they have both maintained a manufacturing base and the resources to run them. Also, they both are almost ready to have a completely gold backed currency system.

But what will happen to the rest of the world, anyone's guess would be as good as any other but one thing will be for certain, a massive reduction in world population just from starvation, not to mention the disease that would follow.

And if the people don't wake up and stop letting the small number of elites act on an authority they don't have, the current situation can't last much longer. Any little thing like full scale war in Ukraine could topple all the dominoes, could also happen if the Euro fails and it is very close.

I've been in the trenches of this system for 30 years... and...

Can't buy this, it's just a cop-out, playing the victim. Even women a couple of generations ahead of you have shown they could be as big of a psychopathic statist as well as any man within the hallowed halls of the corporate world and now the world of politics as well. My whole life I have had to compete with both genders on the path upward.

And it's not the wealthy crooks, they have no real power over anything. If you want to place blame, go look in the mirror. That is who gives them the power. 300 and some million people being controlled on the federal level by 535 people because the masses mistakenly think the government has some sort of authority over them.

Boy the way Glenn Miller Played
Songs that made the Hit Parade
Guys like us we had it made
Those were the days.

Didn't need no Welfare states
Everybody pulled his weight
gee our old LaSalle ran great
Those were the days

And you knew who you were then
Girls were girls and men were men
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again

People seemd to be content
$50 payed the rent
Freaks were in a circus tent
Those were the days

Take a little sunday spin
Tonight I'll watch the dogers win
Have yourself a dandy day that cost you under a fin

Hair was short and skirts were long
Kate Smith really sung the song
I don't know just what went wrong

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

I met Carrol O'Connor once, in New York. Walking from Grand Central to Times Square when out of this Italian restaurant came Carrol. My associate and I said high and he shook our hands and got into a limo. Just one of those chance encounter things.

But anyway, even back in those days it was still a ruse, just not as obvious as today. This country started down hill in 1812, took it up the wazoo in 1865, signed our death warrant in 1913, became bedridden in 1934 and entered the hospice in 2001, and called for last rights in 2009. We can expect the burial to be in 2014.

Such a sad history of disease after such a glorious birth in 1776.
