A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Meaning that if you huff paint and stalk, there is still hope.

Or is there?

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus

Yes, there is still hope

Proverbs 6:5 -

"Like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
like a bird from the snare of the fowler,
free yourself."

I hate the King James adaptation. Haha.

I love the example of the ant... how seemingly mindless and tiny beings are so delicate and yet so strong... thanks for reminding me of this PP... flowerforyou

Proverbs is my favorite book in the bible for learning about character building and how to treat others.

Psalm 46:1

David's songs and prayers of faith in the book of Psalms have always been a source of inspiration. No matter how big the obstacles he was up against, or how he stumbled and fell, he truly believed God loved him and was on his side. And I believe it was his confidence in God above all men and even himself that made him the giant slayer he was.

Psalms 119:1

I have always found that a clear conscious is all that's needed to overcome adversity.

Without thoughts and feelings of guilt the mind and heart are open to freely and easily absorb the Word of God that He brings back to our remembrance when times make it necessary for Him to strengthen our resolve.

Though we are all sinners and fall short of the Glory of God if we strive to live our lives the best we can He will always have our backs in times of prosperity and in times of trouble. IMHO.

Romans 8:28

God is an awesome wonder... His ways are not our ways... but we have to be open to whatever... even if we don't understand the "why us" part of His decisions making process. Again... imho.

I like how different versions of the bible can take seemingly harsh and unappealing verses and better define them for modern day purposes.

In a world where temptation is running so rampant and keeping up with the Jones is the promoted and preferred ideal while keeping God and His instructions for us to live a simpler character focused life is no longer in fashion. And in fact it is often mocked.

But no matter how high up we climb the ladder of success there will always come a day that most of us could live to regret if we put material gain above all else.

"How can you say, ‘We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD,’ when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?" Jeremiah 8:8

I can honestly say that I miss going to church and interacting with like minds. It can be so lonely on the outside when there's nobody around that is of the same belief. Guess it's a good thing we're saved individually not as a group or I'd be lost entirely here in the country.
