I love all types of horror from the Universal classics, to the shot in the backyard with friends and family super low budget schlock. Love slashers, zombies, supernatural, monster movies, pretty much most of the horror sub-genres. The 70's is probably my favorite decade for horror, followed by the 80's.

I do like found footage, though not a fan of the Paranormal Activity films, but more and more it's the FF films that manage to creep me out, most recent would be VHS, maybe because they work on a level where it feels real, and more immediate. Even some of the lesser FF films like The St Francisville Experiment spooked me, not saying there aren't stinkers in that particular sub genre, there are, but for the most part they work for me.

Some favorites would be Dawn Of The Dead (1978), The Bride Of Frankenstein, Spider Baby, Night Of The Living Dead (1968), An American Werewolf In London, House Of The Devil, Equinox, The Pit, The Body Snatcher, The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead II...

Some favorite scary flicks- Ringu, The Changeling (1980), Dead Birds, Session 9, Don't Go To Sleep, A Tale Of Two Sisters, The Devil's Backbone, Ju-On (2002), The Children (2008), Who Can Kill A Child? (also its remake Come Out And Play), The Blair Witch Project, VHS.

Some favorite gore- Day Of The Dead (1985), Tokyo Gore Police, Braindead (aka Dead Alive), Bad Taste, City Of The Living Dead, The Beyond, Nekromantik, New York Ripper, Bloodsucking Freaks, Buio Omega, Maniac (1980, and the remake with Elijah Wood is fantastic), Gutterballs, the Hatchet trilogy is a fun over the top gore franchise.

For b movies, or cheesy, some of my favorites- Attack Of The Beast Creatures, Blood Diner, Two Thousand Maniacs, Blood Feast, I Was A Teenage Zombie, Street Trash, Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead, Redneck Zombies, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Nightmare Sisters, Night Of The Demon (1980), The Children (1980), The Undertaker And His Pals.

I've always been a fan of the Halloween franchise, all except 3. That should've never been part of the franchise, although I do understand why it's included.
Even like Rob Zombie's remakes.

Love Halloween III, part of the franchise no, but as its own standalone movie it's one of the best to capture the holiday feel.

I won't comment on Rob Zombie's remakes.

I even have Ed Gein stories from my Grandmother, Grandparent's summer cabin was in that area. True. Skeeeers the chit outta me. This is where all the Chainsaw massacre movies originate from.

i loved zombieland....and that it was on cable 36 times a week for the entire summer.

it is on a lot...lol...and when it is I always check in to watch some favorite scenes...especially like the end where that great background music is playing and everything is in slow motion, Columbus running through the park to recue the girls and Tallahassee in that booth blazing away...
that, and the slow dance scene, this also has a great background song playing during it...

28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later (but only because of Robert Carlyle and Hawkeye aka Jeremy Renner)
Dawn of the Dead (remake)
Ghost Ship (although the end is a little silly)
Stay Alive (kind of goofy but I liked it)

I like a lot of them but those are the few that popped in my mind right away.
