I didn't write this, but it is thought provoking.

Barack Obama:

... Never served in the military. Not even R.O.T.C.
Why is he our Commander-in-Chief?

... Never owned, ran or even managed a business, not even a hotdog stand.
Why is he now 'CEO' of the greatest nation on earth?

... Never balanced a budget or managed a payroll.
Why is he in charge of the largest economy in the world?

... Never was a doctor, a nurse or ever worked in any health care profession.
Why is he being trusted to completely take over America's health care system?

... Never was Mayor of a city, or Governor of a state, in fact, he has no executive experience whatsoever.
Why is he in charge of the executive branch of the United States government?

... Is a failed, corrupt 'resign or be disbarred' lawyer.
Why is he trusted to appoint our, Secretary of State, Supreme Court justices and Attorney General?

... Never was a success in any area of his life except campaigning for office (and two 'autobiographies' written before he had ever accomplished anything.)
Why Was He EVER Elected President of the United States of America?

Why Was He EVER Elected President of the United States of America?

Because the Republican Party didn't offer a better alternative.

I personally think that article is not thought provoking but rather intended to polarize political views.

Obama joins 12 other presidents who never served in the military, including some of our founding fathers.

Same with the rest. Those are qualifications that various of our presidents lacked or lack. And most of them did ok.

In fact, I believe Nixon would fill most of those qualifications, and he was a disgrace as a president. Sorry, but it's the truth.

These attacks on Obama are purely caused by 1 main issue.....and the root of that is racism....coz he's a black prez....

You know, I have so hard tried to avoid thinking that, but over the years it's getting too hard to.

Now, yes, I voted for him. Yes, I'm disappointed with him on many levels. But really, I have never seen the republican party so incensed and so hell bent to put the man down... not even with Bill Clinton. And I hated Clinton.

Now I'm not going to name republican names but I can think of several who have done way worse than Obama. And not gotten near as much vitriol from democrats.

Who mentioned race? Oh that's right, I'm white he's black. Well think about it, he's only 1/2 black. I don't care if the man is purple. Instead of defending his color, why don't you defend the person? Makes it tougher doesn't it?

Okay so some of our former presidents weren't some of those things, but not all wrapped into one.

Lol does it matter if he's half black. Fact is he is not white and I am NOT defending him I don't even like the guy and I feel they should replace him....I am merely stating facts here...it all comes down to race....you might not see it that way but who wants a non white person to be leading a nation dominated by mostly white? Many people in the U.S don't and these are facts

No, you are not stating facts. Instead, you are stating your beliefs.

Sorry David, I'd have to disagree. It's circumstantial evidence, true, but very compelling. Republicans got a minuscule percentage of the black vote in the last election. Republicans themselves have gone public in their effort to win back the black vote. It is, if not in whole, at least significantly about race.

Reminds me of the documentaries from the 60's. There weren't many politicians that publicly hated black people, some would even say they had black friends, but invariably supported segregation and fought against any form of integration. You could tell the hatred was there.

You can disguise a political attack as almost anything you want. Like I said, even though his ratings aren't great, they're better than some past presidents in their second term. I'm not saying the guy is great, but I'm also saying he doesn't deserve the all the vilification he's been getting solely based on his performance in office.

To me, those numbers don't add up. So the difference has to be some personal dislike. I can't find anything else that fits other than race.

And that's all I'm going to say about that. ;-)

I think I'll just kick back and get me some popcorn.

mini1x,

Site members who have been here awhile already know that I frequently complain about Obama Derangement Syndrome.

At the same, I have openly disagreed with his decisions and policies that I find to be harmful to Americans.

I find it rude at best for someone to falsely accuse me of racism because I am opposed to Obama's presidency.

The claim of racism is speculation.

In case you missed it, Democrats and liberals had plenty of vile things to say about George W. Bush when he occupied the Oval Office.

Did you notice that Tim Scott was elected in South Carolina?

Are we supposed to believe that the racist republicans from South Carolina simply voted for Scott because they have this grand plan to win back the black vote nationally?

Oh wait.. they elected Nimrata Nikki Randhawa as their governor.. twice.

I suppose they are secretly scheming for that all important Sikh vote..

As you typed..

You can tell the hatred is there..

You forgot to mention the effort to recruit Dr. Ben Carson to run for POTUS as a Republican.

Ok guys, let me clear this up. First I apologize for generalizing that all Obama opponents are racist. I never meant that.

But I did mean, and I still stand by this, that a significant group that criticizes him, especially some of the top politicians, are less than honest when they deny this being at least in part about his race or ethnicity. Remember the birthers? Even after they were shown legal birth documents they refused to believe it.

Yeah, it is interesting how, during the 2008 Democratic Party primaries, some of Hillary Clinton's Democrat supporters started spreading the false rumor that Mr. Obama was born in Kenya, along with the false rumor that he is a Muslim.

Yeah, but my point was the even after being show legal documents, they refused to believe. Not sure how else to interpret that tbh.

I agree that hatred for Obama the man is fueling the lack of belief on the part of birthers, but I can't point to any real evidence that the hatred is due to racism.

To claim that hatred of Obama is mostly due to his race is too simplistic...To claim his race does not play a part is too idealistic...Of course race is "a" factor...Obama campaigned on a promise of change and ironically one of the biggest reasons he is hated is because, as the first black president, he represents a change that many Americans were not ready to accept...Why?...Because change is scary...Change means we have to leave our comfort zone and face the unknown...It's natural to fear change...The perception is Obama's only real concern is minorities...The perception is that he will do whatever it takes to give them the power HE thinks they deserve...The perception is that Obama is singlehandedly changing American...When you combine his race, his ideology, his urban background and his elitism with the fact that he took office at the beginning of the worst recession in history, pushed through an unprecedented stimulus package, and virtually took over the nation's health industry all within the first two years of taking office, it's easy to see how fear turned into hate...Much of the hatred is unfounded, but at the same time, with a more conservative, more diplomatic approach by Obama, much of it could have been avoided....

Obama stinks as a leader and lacks integrity. You don't have to be a racist to figger that one out!
