Well thanks to the new tech on consoles (PS3 &4) I have a few my self :
1. The original opened sand box Gta3,San Andreas ,and vice city gta4 and 5
2.Read Dead Redemption nothing like roping up a person and dragging him or saving a damsel in destress from a cannibal and the halloween zombie dlc just maid that game hella fun
3.the elder scrolls skyrim a true open world game and from a company that knows how to handle a open world
4.Defiance not a game to say it's the best but still good on a boring day
