I want to know anything and everything from people who have been there or live there. I've wanted to live there for so long...I won't be trying to move for a couple years, but I want to know, well to learn, the culture, the way of living..and of course what I need to start doing to start the process of moving..anyone that can help educate me? (:

I go twice a year from Scotland, to visit my relations over there and it's a brilliant country, very friendly. Tommy, that writes the poems in the poem section of these forums will fill you in better, as he lives there, ok?

Your concerns are very worthy, Shelbi. I moved over to Ireland back in 2007 in order to be with me ancestors here. In advance of that and during my preparatory period, I too had concerns and they sounded a lot like what yours are. I was alone in my thinking and had no one to actually reflect off of. No one to turn to for advice, and etc. I knew I was Irish and I had this deep seated feeling I must come here. It felt like a spiritual drawing of my person, both spirit and body, guiding me to come home.

What your doing, Shelbi, is oh so familiar. Why do I have the feeling you and I are not alone in this actual quest? The bottom line is my move based on my deep inner emotions and feelings turned out to be perfectly right. I'm here now and will die here. I've come home. By the way, do ye have Irish in your bloodline? If so, is it deeply seated and guiding you as it guided me? If so, you'll do just fine here. Remember, you'll need to gain citizenship, Shelbi, if ye plan on making Ireland your home. This takes a year from beginning to end and ye should hire a genealogist both here in Ireland, and, back over there where you come from. That is if ye have blood over here.

Any further concerns please reach me back via message as before. I'll do what I can to answer any questions you may have.

Be well, Darlin,

tommo / Ireland
