I would say that love is not always as instantaneous as attraction, and if two people are looking for something long term, they must get to know each very well and see where it takes them. Others looking for a more casual relationship of the type you describe are probably not seeking love in my opinion. It all depends on what you are looking for, I believe the real deal is out there for everyone, it just takes time and patience to find them.
