Ok. I shall go first then.. I have just returned from taking Milo to the dog park for his walk.. well there I met a lady.. . after some lengthy conversations. she asked if I was free for dinner.. I did not have the heart.. to let her know.. that I am NOT free....

 .. ... very powerful and thoughtful words... brother pope4u... especially today..lol .... but yes.... to build on the foundation that has already been laid out.....hmm.. I suppose the question is... not every Foundation meets. the requirements... of each builder... . some builders prefer a smaller foundation.. others a bigger foundation....... and this is what makes a community.. beautiful! each house each foundation different from each others.... but in that variety !lays the beauty of each communitie...... ... it is not for us ,to judge.. why one builder chooses... a particular style of house over another.... it is our job.. as members of the community... to accept their right.... and welcome them into the community.... let us not judge unless we are willing to be judged ourselfs..oui.. . |

 This is one of my favorites. By local famous artist E J Hughes. It is of the Lagoon Bridge in Saltair BC where I grew up. I have been over that bridge many many times and it looks just like that.

 This is another of E J Huges paintings. I love it because my Dad worked on the booms all his life. Walking on those logs and operating the little boom boats to herd the logs in. Dangerous work. Thanks Dad.

Ohhh.. that is a lovely painting... very bright and cheerful.... and the fact that it has a personal meaning to you..

  These two pictures were taken just outside of that bay by the bridge in the painting a couple weeks ago. The barge fills one side with water and drops the logs into the bay where the bundles are towed to other destinations. It is interesting to watch...the barge slowly filling with water and tipping...tipping...then blink and you will miss it! The other interesting thing is seeing the event and then an approx 8 second delay to hearing the huge booming noise of the logs falling. Never gets old! Entertainment west coast style.

.. but that is amazing.. the barge tippes over.. allowing the logs to drop into the water.... .. if I did not know that I would think it was capsizing....wow.. I love the west coast.. |
