Of course not all but mostly the don't care for anyone expect their self

I find it hard to believe that you have already "hit up" most of the 318.9 million people living in the U.S....So if you're not willing to be honest with (and about ) us, why should we listen to anything you have to say let alone send you cab fare?....whoa

For some reason this makes me think of a quote of I think it was Mae West about "motives" but for the life of me I can't think of how it was exactly worded.

But yea I think he is just looking for some bleeding heart Mommy that thinks his self pity pot is cute. Not happening here. lol

hahahahahahaha...

Love the way to put this Joyce.... laugh

Why not do something useful in your own country and build that up to a better place to live?
We got enough people that are bleeding us dry as it is. So nothing personal, but I'm glad to read it's getting more difficult for ppl from poor/eastern European countries to move to western first world countries.
I can understand you want a better life, but first world countries cannot accommodate everyone from a poor / third world country. We pump billions in such countries as it is to help them develop, apart from allowing thousands and thousands in as well, which is also costing us a bomb.
If you want a better life, help make your own country better.

Forget about America, friend. Let me save you the trip and give you fair warning, and I'm serious so take notes: It's not what you think it is and definitely not what it used to be.
Besides, they don't want you there taking their jobs and even if you don't plan on working there's no Welfare for you.
Oh, don't get me wrong, they'll gladly let you spend the $30,000 for Immigration procedures and you'll keep paying until you realize they really don't want you there.

Stay home and keep your rights. In the unforgettable words of Dorothy: there's no place like home! drinker

I'm spreading the word here in Belgium and France to anyone who asks, but I'm only one guy and too many youths here think the US is paradise. It hurts me to have to be the one to bring them the bad news but I figure I'm saving lives doing so. Nothing worse than to spend 20 years in a country not your own and finding out in the end that you were never welcome.

Fred...I am not sure where you were in the states but most (if not all) people I know are welcoming of others, as long ad they are here legally. Sorry you had a bad experience. I am sure every country had those that aren't welcoming of foreigners.

I think the world has painted this myth (that people still believe) that it's a paradise and the streets are paved with gold. It's a great country but not perfect. We have some beautiful places and some ugly places

We really aren't that different than any where else

Hi Fred :-)...That's all well and good, but what you forget to mention is that the U.S., like many other countries, is paradise to many less fortunate...If you're going to tell the story, tell the WHOLE story!...

There's good and bad everywhere for sure and I don't mean to offend the good people of the USA. I'm just saying that nowadays, with everything going on in the world and our broken society, it is advisable to stay home.

I understand that. I don't think I would "feel at home" in another country. Where did you live? I am from Texas. We are a pretty friendly people (until we are disrespected lol)

I think a lot has changed because (among many things) people here illegally are a big problem.

I love learning about where people are from. We are a melting pot.

Sorry for your experience. Please know it's not like that for everyone or everywhere here

Any developed country may seem like paradise to many less fortunate, Belgium more so than others because of the great social welfare here.

I think every country is known by some based on a stereotype or a bad experience.

Kind of a shame though. I would love to visit other countries just to see what it is like and to learn.

I lived in 6 different states, exactly where is my personal life. And yes, I'm sure some are more welcome than others. But hey, I did have a great ride there for a good while so I can't complain.
I can only lay out the truth as I've experienced it.
