yeah I guess ..hmm.... now I feel even more like a shmock.... I was going to text her tomorrow.. And tell her I wasn't really comfortable.. with the whole situation.... but I would be happy to help her.. move her stuff into the new place...wow..hmm... funny how the tables can turn. sometimes..... this is like something out of the twilight zone...wtf.. now I have to reevaluate my whole... thanks everyone.. sorry for the trouble.... I guess it all comes down to this.. if you want someone to help you.... you have to make it seem.. that you are doing everything to help yourself.... but just need a little help to get you all the way.. there..
... her mistake was making me feel... . like I was doing more than I should really be doing...yes... if she would have said... I am picking up a UHaul trailer on Saturday... do you think you can come help me load the big stuff... ... because it's a two person job.. ..... and I will take you out for pizza and beer afterwards..... .... I probably would not have had this conversation with everybody.... Then ..thanks again.... everybody.. now I think I o her pizza and a beer...lol . |

how far would you go..to help somebody you just met? Not very far. But it depends on what kind of help they need. the scenario.. you just met someone online...for one week... they want you to bring a u-haul van to where they live.. help load it up.. drive it back to your city.. help unload it.. and then return the van back to u haul I'd ask myself "would I do this for a dude stranger I met online? If not, then I'm doing this on the pretext or under the ulterior motive of getting laid." I just feel like.. she is a lady in distress That's a rationalization. A lady in distress says "Help! OMG! I'm going to die or suffer severe harm if you don't help me! I'm being beaten or raped by my ex or some stranger or I'm having a heart attack or stuck on the roof of my house in a flood! Please, come right now to help me!" That's distress. "Hi, could you sometime next week rent a uhaul, drive it up here, get all my stuff, drive it back down, and move it into a new place because I just feel like moving to your city," is not a "lady in distress." You're just setting up a scenario in your own mind where she will owe you something. IMO the only qualm you really have is how likely she is going to give you what you think she owes you, or if she's just going to get the free labor and blow you off. |
