Class means a person who is poised, graceful or mature, or excudes any of these mannerisms in dress, language and everyday life. Posseses excellent self control, is gentle soothing and unoffensive.

Ladies, would you date a man like this?
Men, would you date a woman like this?

What is your preference?

Well I actually believe I am dating someone like this along with a quirky sense of humour..

I think it is a good definition of class as long as it isn't to the extreme that a person can't be human and show human fallacies because none of us are perfect nor would I ever expect him to be.

I also look at this definition as just being a well rounded person.

I guess I like this definition better than the old one.flowerforyou

I would date a man like this, and I have dated men like this. That is my preference. I come across them rarely.

mmmm I expect I prefer them a bit rougher around the edges but clean up nice. not afraid to get his hands dirty or worried about ripping his designer blue jeans while working in yard or the garden..

well mannered most of time but I would understand if this is not always possible to do
good person, good father.

quiet confidence..is comfortable with who is as a man

That sounds like a man with class to me. You will have to let him know wearing designer jeans whilst doing yard work is daft.

Well Trish have you taken alook at Pancho's posts or his style of dress laugh I was referring the man inside of his attire and yes he can clean up real nice when needed. Pancho is a cattle/grain farmer there is no designer clothing on that man and yet he has so much "class"

I thought all the men I dated were classy. What's the alternative?

Did they remain classy till the end of the relationships though?
People can start off classy and end up revealing they have no class....the alternative of class.

Yes, they remained that way. I choose them very carefully. Lol

What would be your definition of not classy?

I have read in your posts that one of your partners was abusive and most were emotionally unavailable to you. That is not classy.
I do not mean to get personal with you, but which is true?

Hi, Ladywind

I think there are two important aspects of maturity, first the ability to understand reality quickly and accurately, and secondly the ability to use that understanding to act responsibly regardless of the circumstances. Becoming mature is a process of trail and error (experience) along the way. example: you can't become a mature driver if you never drove a car, so that's it....observation, prediction, action, self-evaluation, learning, that process is what leads us to maturity. And so much more. It's a short explanation that applies to both men and women depending on the circumstances.

They need to be quintessential gentlemen, dapper in dress, polite in conduct, kind and one that gives a meaning to the word "family"

I asked a simple question. Why are you getting personal?

think very few can remain classy at end of a relationship
especially when it gets heated and there are arguments involved ohwell
