Obamacare Forces 2016 Insurance Premiums To Skyrocket

October 27, 2015- Insurance premiums across the country are about to skyrocket yet again thanks to President Obama's Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare.

Former Tennessee Medical Association board member and current Emergency department director Dr. Omar Hamada says that he expects Obamacare will force insurance premiums to continue climbing for the foreseeable future.

"I see no end in sight for increasing insurance costs as long as Obamacare is the law of the land. Since becoming law, Obamacare has forced costs to skyrocket every single year," said Hamada. "In Tennessee, the Obamacare co-op is shutting down because costs were catastrophically high and insurance premiums will climb again in 2016."

Hamada says that Tennessee's 2016 insurance rate hike is one of the highest in the nation.
"In 2014, Tennessee's benchmark plan was $188 a month. In 2016, the plan will cost at least $250," said Hamada. "By 2017, I expect the plan will be nearly $300. On average, premiums will cost at least 23 percent more in 2016."

In Utah, those who buy healthcare insurance through brokers or the HealthCare.gov Obamacare exchange will see rate hikes up to 44 percent. The price of an average insurance plan for a 21-year-old will go up 13 percent to nearly $165 per month in urban Salt Lake County. Meanwhile, a 21-year-old living in rural Rich County will see a substantial 44 percent price hike to nearly $228 per month.

Oklahoma will see a 35.7 percent increase; Montana will have a 34.5 percent increase; Alaska will have a 31.5 percent increase; New Mexico will have a 25.8 percent increase; and South Dakota will have a 24.7 percent increase.

For the first time since becoming law, the Obama administration publicly acknowledged that those purchasing health insurance will be paying more to do so during Monday's announcement.

Welcome to unaffordable healthcare

More and more victims are finding out most expensive proceedures and medications "REQUIRED" to save their lives are not covered under their "plans" after years of paying high premiums for them

Gee, Obama lied on healthcare premiums? I'm shocked! Well ok, not really shocked, more like NOT SURPRISED!!!

There have been numerous stories about exchanges failing all over the country in the last few weeks. Either too few enrollees, and too many payouts, or revenue models that were clearly not sustainable in the long term.

As people get funneled into fewer providers (a natural free market contraction) there will be a tendency for prices to go up. The new provider sees why others failed, and creates a more aggressive revenue stream to survive.

The 'deal' that people thought they were getting is as we on the right predicted not going to be a deal at all. Thus proving government interference can usually screw up just about anything.

Now the other issue is as more and more people fall out of work due to bankrupted businesses paying for Obamacare, OR they worked for a failed exchange, HOW will they be covered while they are unemployed? Will they get subsidized plans? IF not, are these not the disenfranchised and low income people that Obamacare was supposed to help?

The system is loaded with people who could not afford, or now get for free, a form of healthcare that usually doesn't fit their needs.... that anyone willing to work and retirees pay for. Strictly a drain on the system and unsustainable to say the least!

And a new budget increase to cover our idiot in chiefs new round of spending! The "Boners" final phuck you to the people before leaving congress!

Men are paying for prenatal care and other women's issues they will never have, but if they get cancer or some other ailment their plan won't cover their treatment, Dr, or meds..... and usually the facility they use.

The way I see it we got 2 things from Obozocare...... More debt and more control over our lives!

The stupidity of the liberal voter never ceases to amaze me......

I'll even give them points for some ideas I can agree with.... but those never come up for a vote
