Right in the comments also what will cause it to end ? My guess asteroid impact around 2065. I don't believe it will ever end, although some divine intervention will probably be required to save it from ourselves. A possible cause for our near extinction could be disease. If we have an outbreak on a much larger scale than the recent Ebola outbreak in Africa. A similar disease, as deadly as Ebola but transmitted as easily as the common cold, and having no known cure it would decimate human kind. This could happen at anytime. |

Sooooo, the earth doesn't end. Just our species type. Even it we get hit with a G.E.E. (global extinction event), The world begins again. I just checked the list and dolphins are up next!    Apparently, the dolphins are not waiting for that to happen.  see? david is not happy then..... Now if were talking about the extinction of mankind... well..hmmm.. there's so many of us spread out across this planet.. I'm sure no matter what happens ....be it a meteor asteroid strike.. some of us would carry on... now unless we found.. some other life form on this planet.. which is highly possible.. at a cellular level.. and we played God nourished it developed it into fruition.. basically creating a subspecies of a human being.... which would probably be more developed.. possess a higher intelligence than us... then this new subspecies would simply begin to replace us as the dominant species on the planet... therefore we would create our own extinction event.. evolution would carry on as normal.. . Replacing one dominant species with another.. as it has done since the beginning..of time.. I read some of the posts on here and it was this one that got me! Can you read my mind or something, this is exactly what I think i want to happen but with all things who knows best. My opinion is why beat around the bush for us to evolve slowly and gradually when with science and technology we can accelerate the process. Sure technically the Human Race gets wiped out but our replacements are smarter, faster, stronger and generally better in every way. I mentioned this to my dad and he said but a world like that means (take darts for example) that everyone would do a 9 darter everytime and would be boring but he doesn't realise that evolving the being also evolves EVERYTHING! So picture this, a dart board spinning clockwise at 60RPM and players still performing extremely well. Imagine if it was possible to take the best football players of today and have them kept on ice until the new world players arrive, this would show you how far they have come after beating the players of today by 180-0. Everything would evolve and assumedly get better with the hope of no poverty and no war and then this new species can use their advanced knowledge to create an even more advanced specie and so on so forth and expand across the known galaxy which would become more known than it is now. Hopefully secrets of the universe all become answered. The only downside I can see is although all the Good in Humans is improved assumedly so is all the Bad. People would become better at Murder, Theft, Sabotage or Worse. Therefore not necessarily ending wars but evolving those too. It could accelerate the reality of Star Wars perhaps but minus the Force. I don't know whether it is the right thing for humanity to do but whilst we sit and watch the global powers use greed to their own personal gain, I guess we will never know! |
