Which would you say is better. Or is it just a term, or wrong use of the term or what?

courting, pitching woo.. letting your heart be vulnerable.. winning over your intended victim..ohh..oops .. love not victim..lol.... expressing to them your true feelings towards them..
Letting them know how they make you feel. ..mmmmm... intoxication.. of the pursuit... getting them cornered pinned up against the wall... their hands locked into your hands.. in that first moment.. in that moment when your lips touch one another..ohhhh..yum.. live for that moment

courting vs. dating which would you say is better

Depends on the culture and people involved.

I mean if you're in a culture that doesn't "court" then:
1. You're going to get weird looks when you describe what you're doing.
2. You're going to have a difficult time finding someone that is receptive to what you're doing.

It would probably be most accurate to say that DATING is a part of COURTING.

Or that dating is non-specific, just a term referring to doing stuff together, while courting implies a goal.

In the ancient days when courting was more of an official thing, courting included talking to the parents, presenting oneself for inspections, giving of gifts, and all sorts of other things, as well as going places and doing things.

These days, terms of all kinds are used so loosely, trying to define anything is really hard to do, usefully.

Usually after awhile dating, they do the court thing and get a restraining order.
