I like to think the ones that got away were all serial killers.
I think I saw one on 'America's Most Wanted.'

I hold true to that. Some times in life people are too emotion driven that they fail to realise some things were not just meant to be.

True that.. but when the wounds are fresh one can not admit it straight away coz there's always that hope that things could workout but they not meant to. Fate has the capability of fkin up peoples lives & saying ''Gotcha '' laugh

I agree with the statement Romeo but there have been a few cases where I just messed up and got my walking papers, my fault live and learn.

I wouldn't express things that way myself.

The idea that things "were never meant to be," is one of those double-edged sword kind of things. It carries with it, the dangerous idea that drives some of the worst fanatics who plague us, claiming that whatever and whoever it is that they happen to want, is MEANT to be, and therefore has no say in their own lives.

The way I would put it instead, is that when things don't work out, that there really are usually very good, logical reasons why. That despite our very intense emotional sensations of aching and loss, that it really is, usually for the best, that we affirm the end of things from our own side as well, and allow ourselves to see the real, and not magical, reasons why things are as they are.
