My friend, God made us as free moral agents---you have a will to choose right or wrong ---he gave us the power of choice. Robots don't have that.
If God were to make us like programmers make robots I believe he will be accused of abusing his power and bullying humans into doing
what he wants ----now he has made Man with the power of choice.

Knowledge is part of God. Why would God punish Man for getting knowledge when God made man in his image?

God made the Angels
Angels have knowledge
God punished some angels and sent them to Hell
Thus, God made demons and devils.

Since everything is of God and God is in everything
Do we truly have free will?
Are we not subject to an environment (reality) that is entirely constructed by God?

This is the pool.
There is nothing but this pool.
You may swim in this pool as you choose.
You may not do certain things because I say so.
If you do, I will punish you.
You may only have free will as long as it is the free will I allow

Does god have an edge or is he infinite to?

According to some religions God created reality.
Thus the reality we realize is a construct of God.
Since God is the First and the Last it implies that God existed and will continue to exist in excess of the parameters of His creation.

The edge of God is not a location but a time. A time that cannot be known because existence is a structure within that period. It matters not if the period of time before or after existence is a moment or a hundred trillion years. It can't be quantified because we have no reference base.

You generate a virus in a petri dish. It grows, lasts and dies. That virus (if it has knowledge and reason) cannot know your moment of conception nor your moment of death because its entire existence happens during your life.

The God that I imagine is not the God that religions describe. Religions have too many inaccuracies to justify the reality around me. They are merely a tool to control society. Using rewards and punishments to affect personal behaviors to appease a social agenda.

Religions break down under intense scrutiny where reality reinforces with intense scrutiny. Being a social creature, religions are important communal controls for prosperity. Reality just doesn't care.

The Christians were really naughty in the day!

All religions are naughty in different ways.
All religions have good qualities as well.
Societies are built on religious beliefs.
Religions are vital to establishing morals which control behaviors so society can flourish. As understanding of reality gets clearer religions start to lose their control effectiveness from their inconsistencies.

Reality doesn't care if you believe in it or not, it persists anyway.
Belief can be a form of delusion if there is no reality to reinforce it.
People are starting to understand reality clearer and religions have taken a hit. Reasoning is also more abundant so people get stress or conflict when reality doesn't jive with doctrine.

The important thing to remember is that other people's delusions are their own. If they are content in those beliefs it should not matter to you unless those beliefs interfere with your perception of reality.

Where the problem occurs is when those delusional beliefs are imposed upon others. "You Must believe as I do or you must die."

As our species matures, we will all be able to co-exist no matter what we believe. To each their own.
