Topic: "2 people who want to meet you...or maybe not."

I'm a new member. Almost every other day I get an email stating "2 people who want to meet you". Clicked on both, but their profiles both state they've last visited the site "over a month ago". How can this be? Does the stealth mode allow this? And after I clicked on the "Yes-No-Maybe" box, a third picture showed up, and then another, etc.
I'm beginning to think that these emails are programmed into Mingle2's software to generate continued customer interest, but aren't really genuine (unless the stealth mode allows it).

up regardless of when they were last on.

of them.

Thanks to both of you for clearing this up. Even when I click on the "Yes" block, nothing ever becomes of it (no further response). Why would someone "want to meet me" assuming they read my profile, then never respond when I "Yes" them?

I cannot speak for the members who do that.
I do know members will click on MANY at a time..
to gauge interest?

Some users get a LOT of attention on here by sheer
volume and can be VERY picky.

Sort of like that story about the jade elephant.
"How much is that Jade Elephant?"
"It is 10 million dollars!"
"That is ridiculous! No one will pay that!"
"I only have to sell one.."

You may peruse a lot of profiles but you only
need one in the end :-)

Maybe they are thinking the same? Just send them a quick friendly message

Oh, I do email them also. At present I've emailed to 41 women with 1 tentative response. Perhaps, however, this is the norm, at least for the men.

(Sigh) If only you lived near me...or I near you. Now I'm up to 61 sent emails with still only one tentative response.

Mike, I've been here 4 years and get the same thing all the time. An e-mail saying some "new" members want to meet me but when I look at their profiles none of them have logged in for the last month, so how can they want to meet me? I only do this now to fill in time, I'm resigned to not finding anyone on here.
