Oddly enough it really is not all that uncommon. I have seen it a few times at the hospital I work for. I have to wonder though if the couple contacted the media themselves...or if England does not have privacy laws for healthcare. In the U.S. violating HIPPA could cost you anywhere from $10-50K and is punishable by up to 10 yrs in prison for a first offense. A public service announcement? I doubt that it's more likely they just wanted the attention. The woman contacted the media........ That is the only scenario that makes any sense and that is just sad. Many places here in the U.S. she would have destroyed her future as a teacher as well. Some people will do anything for their thirty seconds of fame....... I am still trying to work this out in my head though, she clearly cant fell the thing going up her butt and they lose it, then the guy tries to dig it out with a fork, then BBQ tongs.... Just how loose is her butt?  Hell, they have to give me a sedative just to do a prostate exam on me!  So she is just like people who post stuff on a here, looking for 30 seconds of fame  . I don't know about England, but here (many states) have a morality clause they sign. This, in the media, would be a breach of that clause, so she should know why she was fired. Imagine kids, in the classroom, trying to learn from a teacher that is in the news because she went to the hospital because she got a toy stuck up her butt
