if all we can do is wait, then lets just make the wait fun and worthwhile oftentimes we get stuck in traffic here in Manila , we wait it out by listening to good music or eating from our lunch boxes

I think good things come to those who have a broader perception of what "good" is

You see someone throw a tomato in the weeds.
You love tomatoes.
You sit in the window and wait for that tomato to grow into a tomato plant so you can go pluck a fresh tomato from the vine.
And you wait and wait and wait.
Eventually a tomato plant might grow from that original seed, or it might not.

or

You harvest some seeds from your last tomato.
You germinate them into a plant and transfer that plant to your garden.
You tend it daily and wait and wait and wait.
You watch it bud and flower into a plant with many tomatoes.
Some are sweet and juicy and some are hard and tart.
You discard the ones that are hard and tart until you get to the best one possible.

I read somewhere that the average person spends 5 years of their life waiting in lines. I don't think I'll be voluntarily waiting for much of anything at this point.

I'm on the back nine of life. I'll take the bad with the good if it means I'm not wasting time waiting.
