Received a message today from www. dating. com it read :- You have been on our site for 6 weeks now without any replies or interest Would you like to try another 2 weeks free without a photo!

Many, most, maybe all dating sites are owned by a single parent company. Like "match" is just part of the "match group" comprising something like a dozen dating sites, all owned/run by 1 big company (IAC). The way some of them run, you sign up for one you've signed up for wherever else they need profiles in order to sell to advertisers. Another way some are run is to not really sign you up, so much as just phish the information from your signup from another site, send you an email telling you that you're a member of a different site, so you rush to click on the link to go visit that other site, then go through the sign up process in order to check your nonexistent until then profile to see what hotties you can find or are interested in you. Little different than one of those direct mail order snail mail advertisements that tell you that you've been entered in a sweepstakes and you need to come down to the car dealership to claim your prize. Welcome to the world of online dating site consolidation and advertising.

Would you like to try another 2 weeks free without a photo! I don't think that profile without photo is a good chance. Pesonally I never reply for messages without photo. I believe that honest people have noting to hide. Be more active in searching, men can permit themselves to woo :)))

One of the problems of being overly literal minded is you don't often see the humor in life. Another one is you apparently don't realize that this is the joke forum. Good one Mikey.

It is a joke, my thread was moved to the jokes by the site, either way, I think it's funny, I'm surprised by the amount of people who don't get it. as you say, some read into things to deeply, Thanks
